  • "It has a big flaw"

Pros: Small size, nice/smooth design, nice screen, great sound

Cons: Very slow startup, freezes randomly, short battery life

Summary: It's a good mp3 player, nice looking, good sounding, not that expensive, and generally overall. So when your friends get one, it's pretty nice to play around with it for an hour. But it's different when you actually own one, you get to know it well, know its flaws just as well.
    1) the buttons collect a lot of dirt and residue, and it is HARD to clean it out
    2) the bass-boost function is not as good as it sounds, nothing compared to my Sony MP3.
    3) there is no low-battery indication, it just shuts off and you're just wandering "the hell just happened, and why won't it turn back on"
    4) the most important flaw - it just freezes. I was watching a video, and all of a sudden, it just freezes. It took over three minutes to unfreeze.

There is a battery meter at the top of the screen and it DOES tell you when its getting too low, consider this review null and void.

Most freezing up issues have been fixed in the latest software but i still need to reset it now and then.
also it seems it only sounds great in some headphones. On Sony's (VERY GOOD) headphones the sound quality is terrible

the outer screen is too close to the inner lcd screen and it would seem the slightest pressure results in lcd cracking with no signs of external damage. should come with a warning to not remove from packaging

There is are a couple low battery indicator on this mp3 player. Visually the battery level indicator will turn from green to red and audibly it will beep about once a minute in your head phones. I believe the battery level indicator will also flash. i don't remember because i was trying to get my workout done. I will agree that junk gets trapped in the buttons and it is a fingerprint magnet.
