"Not a reliable product"
Pros: Lots of features, good sound quality
Cons: hardware issues
Summary: I bought Zen Micro in December 2004 after reading great reviews on CNET. I was so happy to get this product. Lots of nice features like FM radio, voice recorder, replaceable battery etc.
After 6 months, my Zen froze because hard disk died. Contacted support, they told me that it will cost me $40 to get it replaced because it was out of 3 months full warrrenty. So I got it replaced with another refurbished one. I was happy again until last month when the headphone jack started playing tricks. It is cutting audio. Checked internet and learnt that it is a wide spread problem on all Creative MP3 players. Contacted Creative support again and they gave me repairs estimate of $85. it also started draining battery. So I am ready to buy IPod video next week. I spent close to $400 Canadian on this product which did not even last full two years.
Do you think it is worht spending so much money on a MP3 player which does not even last two years?
