"WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN"on by ruddyjm
Pros Easy to transfere music
Cons Touch pad will take alot of getting used to. Cannot see screen outside.
Summary After doing alot of research and going with the good rating you gave it, I bought, the micro photo.
I have just had it a few days, I still have not got the hang of the touch pad, even after changing the setting I will take it back if I can't get used to it.
I was also dissapointed that you cannot read the screen outside when the sun is out.
"Excellent Value"on by smb201
Pros Easy to use, Good size, good sound quality
Cons Minor Con: Touch slider
Summary I did a lot of research before buying. I have had it for a month now. The Zen Microphoto gives the biggest bang for my dollar. Excellent sound quality and ease of use with included software. I bought FM transmitter for zen and put my CDs in the basement. Only negative, and it is minor, is that the touch slider is a little tricky for those with large fingers. I have never used IPOD to compare touch interface. Overall great quality and value. Battery life good too.
Pros Pictures are nice and clear, syncing Outlook data is great
Cons the touchpad takes a bit of getting used to
Summary Thouroughly enjoy my Creative Zen Micro Photo. Easy to create playlists, transfer pictures and sync up my Outlook alendar and contacts. Fantastic product.
Pros Very clear screen, easy to navigate through your music library, and compatible with Napster to Go. Also has an FM receiver
Cons Screen can be difficult to read in the sun especially when you have polorized sunglasses on, when the screen shuts off there is a blue light at the top of the unit that you can not turn off.
Summary Overall I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an mp3 player. It is easy to upload music via Microsoft Media Player or Napster to Go.
The touchpad does take a little getting used to even if you had a different Zen Micro like me, this touchpad actually has more of a gritty feel which I've found makes it easy to select items from the menus. My older Zen Micro was a little more touchy and it was harder to correctly highlight what I wanted.
Mentioning my old Zen Micro this one does NOT come with a case or an AC power adapter like my old one did, it didn't make much of a difference to me but someone that doesn't have the AC adapter must charge the unit from the computer's USB which will take a lot longer since the USB doesn't put out that much power.
I have had great luck with my old Zen and this one is not different. My only reason for replacing my old Zen is my wife kept stealing it so I gave her that one and got myself an upgrade.
