"Lots of bang for your buck!"
Pros: Great battery life. No bigger or heavier than your avg cell phone. Sound quality with good headphones is A+. DRM-compatible. Can't beat that blue glow!
Cons: Touch pad has a HUGE learning curve (way sensitive--no matter the setting). No music while photo viewing. Creative's software for syncing needs work.
Summary: I'm a tech-savvy music lover, and I hate carrying extra devices when I'm on the go. Apple's focus is to play the music, and that's fine if that's all you're looking for, but I wasn't interested in something all Apple-based (i.e. no music services like napster) and without any extras. I went with the Microphoto, as it gives me a portable Mp3 player/photo viewer/radio/recorder/hard drive--all for around the price of a Nano! I'm very happy with my purchase! The device color is vibrant (especially the surrounding blue light--looks super cool when driving at night!)Sound quality is great, and 8GB of music is plenty for me. It's also not very heavy, and yet solid enough to withstand laying in your pocket when you sit down (I can't see myself doing that with a Nano--a tad flimsy in my opinion). The complex software interfaces and pad sensitivity are the only complaints (side note: search Google for Notmad Explorer--a really nice Creative s/w alternative!) on an otherwise very solid and versatile MP3 player. If you want to take a moderate amount of music, plus some pics and files with you, I'd suggest the Zen Micro Photo.

So DRM is a *good* thing? Hmmmm. Careful what you wish for....

My Zen Touch (9/10 IMO) uses the same software and I think it's easy to use and powerful. I like it better than iTunes.
