"Excellent overall value with lots of features"
Pros: Nice color screen, largest HD in its class
Cons: Can't view pics while playing music, Can't listen while charging using supplied USB cable
Summary: I waited for this unit to come out and got it for a great price. Tho slightly larger than the IPODS, I think the extra bulk is worth the extra storage capacity. This unit has a lot of features and is definitely the best bang for your bulk unit in its class. The only two things that are more of an annoyance than anything is that you cant view pictures while playing music and you can't listen to music while the unit is docked/charging.

I love my Zen! I recorded a lecture. I sat in the back of class and it is came out good! I listened to the lecture on a few computer speakers. Good speakers produced great sound! The radio is great, the online manual is good, a short manual is in the box. There are chat forums for info at www.creative.com. Categories of artist, genre, album and etc. are nice. I used the flash drive storage and you can set the amount of space to use. It has weight to it so I will know immediatley if it fell out of a purse or pocket. I dropped it twice and it is fine! Sturdy metal is what I like. I didn't mind getting familiar with the touchpad because I hate dials and it slips into a pocket seamlessly! The display is good and I like the replacable battery, which means you can buy an xtra one! I charge it at night via the USB port on my computer while sleeping. I can put my pictures on it. So what if music can't play while you look at pictures, big deal! You just pay more for that feature! Sound is great and you can adjust it to vocal, acoustic, classic, and more. Now if creative would put a replaceable battery on the Zen vision M I would buy it! I would love video but I won't buy something I can't replace the battery in. I am waiting for the price to come down on the bigger Zen vision, which does have a replaceable battery. It is larger but it will fit into a backpack, purse or briefcase or book bag. No digital device is perfect, you'll love it! I show it to everyone!
