"Ignore all ratings under 8!!!"5.0 starson by oscar7
Pros: Video quality, sound quality, battery life, size, navigation system & navigation hierarchy, shortcut button, back button, play button, option button, touch sensitive button, fm radio, etc.
Cons: Wish video battery life was longer than 4 hours, rarely, there is a slight longer than normal lag when shutting down, long video conversion times
Summary: Too many great things about this mp3 player to rate anything less than an 8. Ignore all under that number. I believe that although there are areas that could be improved, it deserves a 10.
Those who say this mp3 player is too big and heavy, must be malnourished sick and dying because this device is hecka light. Not as thin as the ipod, but it doesn't mean it's big. It's still small and slim. Fit's perfect in my pocket.
Those who say it's too complicated, but be mentally challenged, or close to brain dead. The navigational hierarchy is well organized. When listening to music, I go through MUSIC LIBRARY -> MUSIC ARTISTS -> ALBUMS BY THAT ARTIST -> SONGS WITHIN THAT ALBUM. Isn't that organization?? You can organize files within folders that you create to make organization simpler. The shortcut button, options button, return button, play button, and touch sensitive buttons make navigation very easy.
Those who say that Creative ripped off apple's design and interace are smoking something, because Creative created the interface a long time ago. As for design, how many ways can you align a front and back, or a screen on an mp3 player?... I mean how can you arrange them in a way that it's actually usable and easy to use. In that case, shouldn't all different brands of televisions sue each other... or different car brands sue each other? I mean all the different televisions have a screen and a power button on the front. And then all cars have 4 wheels, doors, seats, and seat belts. Maybe cars should take off seat belts so that they can stand out from other cars... or maybe take out the brake pedal?
The only negative is that the battery actually has a limit, and that sometimes, but rarely there is a short lag when shutting down. These however, are negligible.
P.S. I also think the editor was smoking something when writing that he prefers the ipod. The ipod is good, but not as good as the creative vision M. The only reason I can see for him liking the ipod is because he got too accustomed to it, and is therefore biased.
