"Amazing Screen and DivX support make this way better than the iPod Video"
Pros: Beautiful Screen, DivX Support, 4 hours battery life for Videos, Great viewing angle, Themes, Windows Media Player 10 integration, Upgradable firmware, Photos, Great sound
Cons: Buttons a bit hard to press, Fingerprints get everywhere, Sync adapter easy to loose
Summary: An absolutly amazing screen, which has to be seen to believe. It can show almost 3 times the amount of colors an iPod video can, and yet, it still gets better battery life for both video and audio.
DivX support allows this player to hold 200 hours of good quality video, compared to the iPod's 80 hours. The video playback has virtually no delay stopping, and seeking and very little of one while starting a video.
Audio playback is crisp and clear as it should be, and the included headphones are good, but not as stylish as the iPod ones. It even has a customizable EQ, and bass boost.
The internal themes allow you to make the Vision:M look how you like. There are 6 diffent color options for you to choose from.
Overall this is a fantastic MP3 player from a fantastic company, and it is actually iPod who copied off from Creative in the beginning. The easy layout of the OS was developed by creative way back in 2000 before the iPod was probably even though about.
Three cheers for Creative!

Now shopping for a player that will hold more songs, play video, and show photos. Even though the nano has been great- these other reviews from products made by other manufacturers is a great help. I don't want to waste my money. Thanks so much

well, i'd have to say that if there's any player that has the edege to at least make the ipod sweat, that better be the vision M!! I dont really have to scream out the specs but i cant help it, checkout the cool features that makes the difference- the Fm radio + recorder, voice recorder and EQ...the outlook sync is nice and the touch strip is not that bad as some people say [too bad, I'd have to say that the click wheel is superior]and one thing stands above all, one heck of a display....the 2.5 screen is a display goddess...way better that i pod's though there no dedicated video vendor...it will be not long before the Vision M can became a dedicated video player- it already has a good screen plus; a longer battery life for videos..no complains about audio playbacks though, audio is crisp and crystal clear with some headphones. The photo handling feature is great and you can even set pictures as wallpapers, and then you have the sideshow which can be viewed while listening to audio files... in all, this dynamite packs a punch and has a better ka-ching value compared to the sleeker i pod..i have nothing more to elaborate, the features speaks for itself, as for the adapter, live with it- i consider it as minor things to face when you have such a fantastic player.. too bad many people are still hypnotized by the touch of i pod, the Vision M is a gem and a well kept secret-proof? creative sold a mere two million CVM, but apple shipped out 20 Million ++ i pods...wake up and smell the coffee, there are better players than the i pod.

if the buttons are firmer to press, it doesnt feel like it will break like an ipod
fingerprints, get one of those plastic dealys to go over it, they're like 10 bucks. lol.
and the adapter, its just so there isnt as much to break with the player. think of it this way. it has 3 or 4 adapters in itself. if one was to break, you simply replace the adapter. no need to send your player in for servicing, risking losing all of your stuff. much better if i say so myself. -
Since the ipod doesn't do divx out of the box I will get this.

This is the best player on the market right now.
If you own a Vision:M or any other Creative player, there is a great new forum with tons of news and information.

First off this player owns the Ipod along with the feature packed Iriver H320. ITs probably the best player out right now, much better osund quality....anyway notice how it says scratches easily.....kind of wierd how they "forgot" to put that on the ipod review...... Still they give it the editors award which is what it deserves.

Am I the only one bummed with the drop in screen size? I'm primarily looking for a PMP for when I travel for work and the Ipod Video screen size just doesn't seem like it would cut it. I was hoping for some improvements to the Zen from what I had read, but moving to 2.5" puts it in the same boat as the Apple. I'm not sure if I should just try to find an original Vision or go with the new Cowon A2.
