"The Ditty Is Dated"
1.5 starson by ArtemariaPros: Smallish, but not really small
Cons: Mono chrome screen, expensive (for 512 MB), unattractive styling
Summary: This would have been a top of the line player if it was ready for Christmas 2003. But with the Apple iPod Nano out and Sony's latest new and improved Walkman series, the Ditty looks dated. The buttons look like something you'd see on an old micro tape player (remember those), and the name is beyond stupid. Who came up with this thing?
Doesn't Dell get it? MP3 players don't just sell for their ability to play music, there is a tremendous cool factor that is involved. This thing is about as cool as a piece of burnt toast.
This would be a great gift for someone you won't see too much and knows almost nothing about technology. For everyone else, the form factor here probably undermines what technologically might be a pretty decent product.
Dell should sell these for $50 to get rid of its inventory and go back to the drawing board.

The Ditty is for those of use looking for a dependable MP3 player without having to waste money on an iPOD. If you are blind to this fact, then go back to being like everyone else with your stupid iPOD!

Don't submit reviews if you haven't tested it.

The name is beyond stupid, and is, unfortunately for Dell, the only distinctive of the boring piece of crap.
