    "Definately one of the BEST"

    by xj220gt on April 27, 2007

Pros: AMOLED!!! Flash 2.0, perfect sound quality,D-click system

    Cons: screen size.

Summary: You can definately tell the difference between the cowon d2 and the iriver clix 2. The clix has a much nicer looking screen, the cowon screen looks all washed out, i can imagine what that looks like when your out in sun light. The cowon does have expandable memory, but up to 6 gigs total from one card and the unit..... those cards arent very cheap and its not like we want to carry them everywhere with us,multiple cards arent very fun. another thing, its big and heavy... not to mention pretty ugly. I had never tried either mp3 players before, but i have looked and read a lot about both, I ended up buying the first clix, that thing has worked out very very good for me. plus, the Dclick system is great!!!
Check out the prize fight, the D2 lost to the original clix

Just to correct your comment about the D2, there are 8 GB cards available (I own 2 of them) and they work GREAT. I'm not sure how you can knock a product for being expandable. I looked at both the Clix and D2 and personllay prefer the D2 due to the form factor and expandability. Make your own choice but I disagree with CNet on this one.

Because the "Cowon is big and ugly" nOthing to do with eithers performance. SO let me tell you why the Clix 2 fails. D2 has twice as long battery life, better sound, louder sound, expandable memory that comes down in price everyday. My D2 now has 12 gigs total in it. In the future I will be ablr to have 36 gigs if not more. Software for the D2 is easier to use then Clix. So while you think the Clix2 beats the Cowon d2 because it "looks" nicer that may be true. But in terms of performance and features the Clix2 doesnt add up. Your review "Looks nicer" sounds exactly like what CNet uses to base their reviews. Nothing about performance
