"Editors Choice without Half the Equation?"
Pros: Good little unit with many options
Cons: No iTunes like interface to get music on it
Summary: Come on guys, how can this be an Editor's Choice product without having a viable way to purchase and get much easily on it! The hardware aspect of the product is great but that is only half of it. The other half should be software that easily supports the product.

Being open source is a feature, not a con lol. That fact is 90% of why people pick iriver over the other brands.

i personally buy CD's and rip them myself, as I prefer to set the bitrate and such, without drm or format restrictions. if you want to be stuck to the downloaded format and drm, get an ipod.

I don't want to install software on every computer I want to connect my MP3 player to! Just simple plug and play.. folder browsing drag and drop! One of the many reasons I don't like iPods (and the awefull sound).

WTH are u talking about. This is a great product. Why would you want something like iTunes for software. Everyone that i know uses iTunes because they dont know any other way to put it in their ipods. I'm not an apple hater i just dont like the software. I prefer drag and drop. Easiest way to transfer music and pictures. Video's are a different story.

How can you give this a vote WHEN YOU HAVEN"T USED IT?
Really tired of people like you ruining ratings on products you haven't tried. -
the lack of itunes is a pro if you ask anyone with any sense. in other words, drag and drop! let's say that again. DRAG AND DROP. it can't get any easier than that. god help us if we have to deal with any more DRM services. this mp3 player and others like it aren't for the iSheep of the world. it's for people with free minds and independent thoughts. this is the anti-iPod. the non-fascist. liberty and justice for all.
i understand you're worried about a price tag but at least wait til you get that info to judge it.
if anything there's a 2gb and 4gb version available already. maybe you can at least get some idea from those items.
