"CNet is wrong again!"
Pros: All the Features, Color Screen, Sound Quality, Good FM
Cons: Absolutely Terrible Customer Support, Non-Removable Battery, Hard to Use, Slow, Crashes
Summary: I got this in February, hoping it would be a nice alternative to the highly overrated iPod. When i first got it, I was amazed by how it played alphabetically, not by track number. Well, i said a minor drawback. Then, i got this error, and it said i needed to load new firmware. Ok, I said, because it can easily be fixed. After trying about 10 times to load the firmware (not of which worked, Because the new firmware update is the most user-unfriendly thing there is) I almost gave up. But after another couple of tries I FINALLY got it on, but when i selected "Update new firmware, DO NOT format" (format means clear the harddrive), It formatted my hardrive. Then I had to load my music back on. I did, but it didn't see all of it (a problem they said would be solved by a "database refresh") I did this, and all my ID3 Tags were gone, and since you CANNOT rename files while they are on your H10, I had to delete them, then put them on again.
It freezes in almost daily use, and I will promise you that it will freeze at least once a day. It also crashes alot too. One time it crashed, I tried everything (the firmware update wouldn't work AGAIN) so i contacted their legendarily horrible support. 4 Months Later, no reply. Luckily i fixed it by myself.
Oh and on the specs, it says 1.8" screen. Thats a complete lie, because its only about 1.4" because i measured it.
My battery life also was horrible, it said 14 hours (with no EQ, No LCD, Playing the whole time, no navigating) But i would only get about 6 hours.
I finally sold it and went with the iAudio X5, a much much much better product (the best Mp3 player there is, and trust me i have tried quite a few). CNet is really slipping of the reviews.
