Pros Perfect sound: crisp and powerfull; easy to load MP3s on to player; the case and armband are awesome; FM tuner is easy to use once programmed; tons of playback options; bright screen
Cons the control button used for navigation is small and takes focus to operate; the usb port is covered by a rubber flap the tends to just stay open after using it
Summary Overall this is a great player. The sound quality is incredible. I use the player at the gym and navigating to different folders and skipping forward is a little difficult because the controller is a little small; this is especially noticeable when using the arm band. The arm band is comfortable and the case fits snuggly on the player and looks great, you'd be foolish not to use it (I've seen other cases that look like hell; the armband and the case come with the player).
I don't use any subscription services but apparently the T-10 works with most. I just drag my albums as folders onto the T-10 (you can access the device in 'My Computer' when the usb is connected). There are no drivers to install but the T-10 will only work with Windows XP SPK 1 or higher. The player comes with Windows Media Player 10 which allows you to 'sync' playlists but I'd rather just drag the files than bother with WMP 10.
A design feature I am not happy about is the rubber flap that covers the usb port, I hate these things, they never seem to stay closed. You can observe this if you watch the editors video review of the T-10. I think it bothers me more because on previous irivers they have used a more durable built in plastic cover that slips to cover and uncover the usb port.
Once you get the FM stations programmed on the player using listening to the radio is a joy. The sound quality on the FM tuner is impressive as well.
Pros easy to load, great sound
Cons custom carrying case
Summary My wife bought me a Maxell MP3 player for Christmas. I was looking for a low cost MP3 specifically for my workouts. Unfortunately the unit died after 6 months and the warranty had expired. For the record, that Maxell unit was brutal – as was their customer service. I searched c-net for a replacement looking for a high rated, low cost unit with a good warranty and landed on this one.
I have had it for about a year now, and it has been excellent. Very durable, able to withstand my daily running work out. Easy to use and flip around to your desired song. Easy “drag and drop” song loading from your computer. Great battery life span. I travel a lot for work and take it with me – never had a problem. And it is in fact red – not neon.
My only suggestion is to make sure to get the unit with the arm band together. The unique design makes it impossible to find a carrying case at any store. I had to get the case online, and it is a better deal to get them together.
"Great player, good shape for size, great sound, durable, great display , great battery time"on by hardyraz15
Pros great sound, durable, great display , great battery time
Cons It is a great mp3 player for Irivers new line of mp3s
Summary I just love it. The only thing i dont like is that in europe it comes in light red making i look like pink.
Pros Well-lit color screen, FM tuner w/ recording, easy to use
Cons Bulky, surprisingly small
Summary I really like this MP3 player, and it's terrific bass and sound quality. When I first got it, I was a little surprised at how small and bulky it was, but I soon forgot about my complaints. I also found that the USB cover on my T10 has no problem staying closed. I would recommend this MP3 player to anyone but music collectors, as they would look for something with a little more memory.
Pros Price, study make, battery life, equalizer & FM radio
Cons Awkward shape
Summary The design seems to be a bit awkward but it has a quality finish. The headphones have excellent quality but I swear the unit seems to be configured to suit the needs of the left-handed individual. The Sennheiser earbuds that accompanied my unit sound great, but the wire seems too short. If I put the unit in my pocket, I can already feel it tugging on my ears and I'm not particularly tall either.
In all, it definitely has much more perks than your iPod shuffle. Little things like FM radio & recording are a great addition.
