"FM transmitter integrated, makes this best overall value"4.5 starson by pappyoh5
Pros: FM Transmitter, expandable with at least 2GB sd card, many features, durable.
Cons: Non-intuitive interface, appearance not as stylish as others, no line encoding(record direct from other audio devices)
Summary: I bought mine in July of 2005 about 18 months ago. I would seriously considering buying again if mine were to die. I like it that much. It's compact, durable, has lots of good features(sleep timer, equalizer, bass adjustment, etc), has an integrated FM transmitter with very good range(especially outdoors) I've transmitted about 50 feet to two separate radios I have one by pool other on deck. The unit is expandable to at least 2GB with sd slot, folks at Lexar told me that unit only expandable with up to 1GB sd card. They were wrong my Sandisk 2GB card is recognized, now I have a 2.5 GB player that FM transmits and all I paid was $65(new on ebay, shipping included) and another $30 for the 2GB card. I've got almost 700 songs on the unit. Takes a bit getting used to navigate, they didn't build it around a big display and touch wheel like Ipod, however, this unit is small and survived the drop test several times in 18 months. For the price, the unit with integrated FM transmitter can not be beat. If you want Videw or photo display capability get something else, but if you want to keep most of your music collection(all of it in a year or so when 4gb card prices fall)and just play music and share when you have a radio available, they this IS the unit you want. Get over the clumsy look of the unit, it works great. Just remember to read the manual and practice with it a little bit.
