    Pros: It has great sound quality as usual, and the screen is nice and large just what you need to watch a video. The wireless capabilities have been expanded with the zune 3.0 update.

    Cons: The battery is not that good especially for watching a lot of videos, the missing eq can be troublesome to a few listeners...

    Summary: It kicks Ipoooed's butt with the screen and wireless capabilities.

    Just reading the back and forth, I am looking for a new MP3 player, I have had three Ipod's over the years, each seems to break between 3-4 years old. My wife has a Nano now, which I love. I am debating between the Zune 120 and ipod CLassic. I only care about playing MP3's and storage. I don;t want a subscription, and I do not need wifi. Based on this would you suggest the classic or Zune?

    @justin: you're kidding me right?
    a macbook?
    Mac OSX is the most retarded OS ever. Not only does it copy everything from Linux, all the mac computer products are overpriced and nonfunctional. Sure, if you want something shiny that looks good and costs double the normal fare instead of something that gets the job done, choose a Macbook.
    Note: on amazon, the 120GB zune can be bought for $200.

    Oh cmon Random , you are saying that and here you are bashing the Zune , i have seen your comments on every single article that bashes apple , you and penguinisto are the worst Apple fanboys and yes the Zune does kick the ipod´s butt (this is also taken from Cnet by the way , watch the prizefight) and they cost the same , sorry man but ipods are not the best thing in the world i know that you and your kind will always try to convince everyone but some of us just don´t like Ipods that much and like to try other mp3 players ..... Go ahead and keep kissing that apple logo you love so much

    I dont get, How does it the ipods but. It costs $40 more than the ipod classsic. For what wireless syncing and an fm radio? I know everyone likes to say that all apple users like to kiss apples butt. But I think if thats the case zune users get in bed with bill gates. Because really looking at ipod classic reviews I see ratings of 1-3 starts because it only has 18 eq settings. Also the zune has 30 hours of audio with 4 hours of video playback. Compared to ipods 39 hours of music and 8.8 hours of video (taken from cnet). It seems measily and thats with wireless off. Also what is the point of wireless synching. The wireless g card it uses can only go at a maximum of 56 mbs a second (also when do you really get up to that speed). So it is 8 times slower than usb. So, what you go up to your computer press the wireless sync button, then wait a week for your 120 gb library to sync. What benefit does the zune software have over itunes again?

    The iPod Touch and the iPhone are in a completely different league from the 120, Classic, Nano, and 8.
    The Touch is basically a Mini-Computer, while the iPhone . .. is a phone.
    Plus, who cares about hardware when the software sucks ass?
    Since hardware will slow down, it will all matter about software now, and the Zune software kicks iTune's ass.

    well i think the zune does kick its ass. it syncs wirelessly to the your media without touch your computer with a cable, you don't have to get a new zune yearly either since you can get its newest updates for free ( i heard you need to pay $10 or so to apple to update the touch or iphone) and if you want to pay for your music theres the $15 straight unlimited music download. there might be competition with the apple though after all look how long the ipod's been out in the market. and even if microsoft did want to branch out to apple's OS's it would take some immense work. what i would like to see on the zunes is a disk usage so i can use the hard drive. i think everything else is perfect. i dont own one but im going to be trading in my ipod 5.5gen 80gb model for a zune 120 pretty soon. and yes the ipod touch and iphone is in a TOTALLY different category. plus look at Microsoft's Surface. that might tell you alot lol.

    The new iPods (I use the iPhone, same difference) have a amazing abilities. They have the apps already made, with more all the time- the menus are incredibly slick and user-friendly. Also, the screen is better for video and has a higher resolution- though I suppose this isn't so for the iPod classic, which is the Zune's real competition. As for the iPot touch- this can't even touch it! (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

    What are you on drugs? I can surf the web with my ipod, use apps and do about a million times more things than the Zune can do. Microsoft sucks. I just bought a macbook too, and i'm loving it.
