"Stay away - too unreliable."
Pros: The glasses offer optical advantages standard of Oakley eye glass products.
Cons: Unreliable. Easily affected by dampness. Do not sweat, do not use the product in a damp climate, take precautions to avoid condensation within the product's electronic area, and be patient they are sent in for repair.
Summary: The product is unreliable. I've sent Oakley my Thump Pro glasses 4 different times for repair. First, the battery didn't hold the charge. Second, the left ear phone functioned intermittently and needed to be replaced. Third, the electronics were damaged due to sweat; no way, I live in the driest climate in the country, but that's what the repair tech indicated on the report. Fourth, sweat again...I think.
This product has spent more time in repair (on average a 3 week turn around) than in use. Based on my conversation with the customer service persons, dampness affects the electronics, but Oakley provides no advice to the consumer on taking precautions to avoid this problem, short of wearing a headband or wrapping Saran wrap around the temples. Wearing a shower cap and Saran wrap around my Thump Pro isn't what I had in mind when I decided to use them.
The electronics are too temperamental as an active wear product. The Oakley Thump Pro is NOT WORTH the cost and aggravation.
