0.5 stars Pros: It is USB ready and shows up as a removable hard drive when you plug it in a Windows XP USB port. That's the only good thing I can say about it. It might be useful as a flash drive.
Cons: Doesn't work with WMA files as advertised. Doesn't work with audible.com

Summary: This device is a total lemon. I bought it from REI.com because I wanted a waterproof device I could take backpacking. I thought it would be good to listen to audible.com audio books in my sleeping bag and it would be very light weight to carry. What a fool I was. The device does not work with audible.com files despite audible.com's claim that their files work with "just about any portable audio player" they don't have software to support this oddball mp3 player. The supposed 10 hour rechargeable battery life makes the device impractical for overnight trips (it would be much better to have AAA batteries one could carry and replace). To top it all off, the device is advertised as working with WMA files. All my music is WMA so guess what? The MP120 doesn't work with WMA files as claimed! The files show up in the menu when you upload them but they don't play. Only MP3 files play. The company's technical support is very limited and I'm still waiting for a reply to my e-mail. I feel totally ripped off. This audio player is useless to me. I might as well just throw it away; it's that bad! Oh yeah, and the earbuds suck. They must have been designed for some type of space aliens that have different ears from humans. They are like earplugs that go in the ear canal but they don't stay in. I wear ear plugs at work and I know my ears are about as average as they get, but I can't use these ear buds. I feel sick, like I've just thrown away $150. I notice REI.com doesn't even carry this device anymore. They had it on their web site for about a month because I'd been checking for outdoorsy mp3 players. Now they don't carry it so I can only guess it's because this is a total lemon and they've had a lot of returns. I wish I had saved the packaging so I could return it. jasonz@backpacker.com
4.0 stars Pros: The only real waterproof player which I could find. Great design and good sound.
Cons: Ear buds are a little different than normal in order to work underwater but do not take long to get used to.
