"It's what I've been looking for."

    by r8d2pawsUP on September 20, 2005

Pros: Simply the BEST voice recorder for an MP3 player I've found out there.

Cons: Took too long for the price to come down. Wish it came with more space. Bring out an Expandable, or a 1G or more player?

Summary: Light in weight. The adjustable blue backlight makes the text really stand out. The text is also easy to read. Where did these players go for so long? The price never came down. Then they disappeared off of shelves. Never went on clearance or on sale here. I bought this with the back wrap around headphones in the package. The earbuds sucked.

The headphones may not be comfortable for bigger heads. But they do give you a crisp sound on voice recordings and music. I've taken (the 128MB) to class, and it caught absolutely everything in the room without fuzziness and crackling. A rarity with all the MP3 players out right now. I've tried the major brands, they aren't made for voice recording even if they say they can. They're terrible for voice.

There's no distortion using this player for recording, wma's, or radio. If I want Loud LOUD, I'll stick my head beside a bass speaker at a club. The issued headphones help a bit better than higher quality earbuds for radio reception when you're farther away from the city.

There were some bonus items in the pkg not mentioned when I bought it. It has a good armband. It also came with a leather-like case that resembles a cell phone cover. I think the layout of the player is common sense. The functions take awhile to get used to. On top of the player: The voice microphone, and a slot for a lanyard loop. The unit is able to sit upright on it's own without propping or re-adjusting as voices in a meeting change.

Sniff at this product if you want. I don't care. My fingers are a bit arthritic and the buttons are easy to use. It's what I needed.

I referred to using the 128MB player for some things. The item I'm writing about is the SV-MP35V.
