Pros: Good mp3 player for kids. Has a speaker on the outside, has playlist options, is organized on your PC.
Cons: Software/firmware does not work with Windows 7. Firmware bug seems to cause a lock up on the connection to Windows XP and then locks the mp3 player. Option menus is difficult to scroll through. Player is quite bulky.
Summary: We had errors in the firmware right after we purchased causing the player to not recognize power from the battery or the PC USB cable. It worked for about 2 weeks and has been inoperable for a year. Because it does not operate on Windows 7, the player is now obsolete on our current PC's, will not charge or update and cannot be used.

Pros: 1) Extremely durable 2) Simple for small children to use - only 3 buttons 3) External speaker 4) Auto shutoff 5) Parental controls. 6) It's easy to carry around and uses a single AA battery which lasts ~40 hours of play time. 7) Contains 1 GB of mem.
Cons: It only comes in 2 colors - pink & blue.
Summary: Overall this device is simple for small children to use and can take a beating. You get hours of music with 1 GB of memory and a single AA battery. The device is coated with a rubbery material making it very durable. I love it, but more importantly my chilld loves it. Of all his toys and gagdets, the Sweetpea3 is his most prised possesion. I recommend this to all the parents I know... that's how much my son loves it. It goes everywhere with him.

Summary: We've been searching for an MP3 player for our 2 year old for months. The Sweetpea3 is the most child-friendly one we could find. It has a built-in speaker and parents control the volume through an internal menu. The newer model has 1GB of memory but no power adapter (which isn't an issue since it gets 40hrs to a battery). Our daughter loves it and is sure to get years of use from it.
