"This thing is terrible and so does Philips cust.support" on by Mr Patch

Pros: not too many of the pros, but while it worked it did ok.

Cons: This thing stopped working after 3 days of use. I tried to add some songs to it, then it just shut off and wont return.

Summary: First of all it only worked for 3 days. Then it shut down and never came back. So I call customer support only to go through like 4 or so managers until my broken product wasn't important enough for the next manager. They sluffed me off and now I am waiting 10-15 days for a new piece of junk to show up. I will sell or smash the new one cause it will shut off just the same I am sure. Also the mini CD that comes with it doesn't include the manager software. I needed it for tech support to help me get this thing working. So I downloaded it and still not working. These guys did nothing but get my hopes up. So if you need a 70-80$ paper weight I have one, but it still might be too light for that. The real bottom line here is they stole my money. I wouldn't buy anything from these guys again. I wouldn't even name my kid Phil now.

"Easy Rhapsody Listening." on by marcusw03

Pros: I bought this simply to listen to audiobooks and rhapsody; it does just that. Fair price.

Cons: Like the editor review says the navigation is hard. The worst part about it is navigating albums. It is not setup very well to navigate albums that you create yourself.

Summary: I like the product because it does exactly what I bought it for. It plays rhapsody on the go music and my Audible content.

"Could not make the investment in the big name MP3's" on by ranchone

Pros: The machine takes abuse. I have driven 1000's of kilometers in the Southern Gobi Desert with this sitting on the dash plugged into the vehicle cassette deck and playing what I like best. The dust and the rough terrain have not slowed it down.

Cons: The internal navigation system operation was not intuitive to me.

Summary: The machine improves the quality of life without a lot of aggervation. Once it was loaded and navigation figured out, it has done nothing but provide a lot of pleasure on some very long, rough rides. Also great on the plane with headphones, almost like a free upgrade on my economy ticket. Picked up a little flack from the kids on the purchase of the "cheap" MP3 and had to listen to how it would never last (yeah, I know, they only want the best for me). It has lasted and lasted. Great price and great value for me.

"Easy to use, affordable, needs replacing with time." on by linzshapiro

Pros: Quick to figure out, no programs to download for syncing, fairly cheap. I love the sound quality with the accompanying earphones and the rubber attachments are more comfortable than any I have ever used.

Cons: The screen broke when my friends were wrestling. Got a free replacement though. There are hiccups occasionally and this one has needed charged once a week until recently. Just over a year and now needing charged every other day.

Summary: A decent player for the price, good storage space, great sound quality. It has its issues, but its cheaper than an ipod and easier to get replaced within warranty. It comes with everything that is needed and is worth the 50 or 60 you might spend online. I spent 80 new, but buy at Walmart an put out the extra 4 bucks for extended warranty and you will get your money's worth.

"freezed with dog slobber" on by musicalwashington

Pros: it held most of my playlists

Cons: it didn;t hold all of my playlists
it kept havin to be reset
    it would freeze,
    the battery wouldn't last long
    my dog bit it

Summary: i fell down the stairs at school nevermind why, but i dropped it the once and it cracked from the bottom of the down buttin all the way to the edge and it wouldn't stay together. the battery kept having to be recharged atleast othree times a week, i would try to selected a certian song and the whole thing would freeze to where i had to reset it. i had the thing less then six months, and my dog finally got it off the table where it was next to my mom, so we could try and fix it after i got home, and bit it. the battery was so hot it almost exploded.
