Philips GoGear Spark (2GB)

Pros: Great design. Big screen, intelligent use of the entire case. Sound quailty is good. Music Transfer WMP or Drag & Drop. Easy to set up, load and begin using.

Cons: Shiny face shows finger prints. When recording voice, don't move your fingers, it will get heard.

Summary: This mp3 player has a lot of great features for a compact design. It uses the space it has to the maximum with the face edges acting as control buttons. It feels solidly built and performs well. The player's big screen is good for us not-so-young people who can't read the screens on other compact mp3 players so easily.

The sound is good and comes with a choice of Regualr, Full Sound or a customizable EQ. Music transfer can be done with Windows Media Player or drag & drop.

Minor personal dislikes are that once an FM station is pre-set, there is no free scrolling of other stations. With voice recordings, you have to delete all personal recordings. I would rather be able to select individual recordings to be deleted. Like I said, minor things.

Overall, a good choice and I would recommend to others.
