  • "Great player, not for the 'newbies' of mp3's"
    on by Pks29733steel

Pros Great size, battery life and sound!

Cons If you are a person new to MP3 players, READ the instructions and you shouldn't have a problem. MP4's (videos) take abit of time to convert to be shown on the Philip's player.

Summary Have several MP3 players (thankfully I never wasted money on a 'I-Pod') and find the 'Go gear' simalar to the 'Sansa' Mp3 players but better. Quick transfers of my music that is already downloaded on my computer. I find the controls almost mimic the 'Sansa' (I was abit confused that the reviever had problems with the controls) but the plus is able to download videos/movies into the player. I've created 'playlists' on my computer (windows media player) to save the music when I want to 'sync' a movie into the 'Go Gear'. When I'm done viewing the movie, I remove it from the player and 'sync' one of the playlists stored in my computer's media player. A great MP3/4 player, just read the instructions carefully (they are exact, better than some other imported player's instructions that seem to be written in 'Broken English'.

  • "Very, very, disappointed"
    on by ms_putt

Pros Great value, super size and easy to navigate.

Cons The power on button is not the easiest to use because of it's location and size.

Summary I used it for 2 weeks and then it froze; wouldn't even power up. Called tech support and there was nothing they could do. They had me mail it back to them in exchange for a new player. Received the replacement and experienced problems with it also. Tech support told me that the problem is not just with my player, but with all players. I was told a firmware update is needed. Therefore, sending a replacement will not fix the problem, so Phillips is going to buy-back my player.

Bottom-line, I would not recommend buying this player until Phillips has worked out the bugs.

  • "Supurb Player!"
    on by BigPawed

Pros Small, light weight, great sound quality, easy controls, delete function (thank God), good battery life (so far)

Cons all i can think of is bass and it might be the songs because some are goood some not. And i wish there would have been a genre catagory bad viewing angle on videos and pics

Summary great player i love it! it plays my music well and the buttons are great. i can navigate it with my eyes closed (literaly). great volume. i love the custome equ settings. it can play vids and pics but why would you. the screen is no larger than an inch or 2. it came with software to download youtube vids : ). you have to use the converter but who cares. i love the delete function. i have not tested battery life but its lasted at least 6 hrs. i got mine at walmart yesterday for $45

  • "by far the best under $100"
