Pros Robust and compact; Well suited for gym and travel.
Cons Software partnership Jukebox is poor - workaround with Windows Media and minimize Jukebox usage for pure uploading
Summary Yes, the Jukebox app is poor - keep in mind, they want you to upgrade to the retail version in order to unlock 48x speed ripping (the free version restricts it to some ludicrous 4x speed). So, use your trusty Windows Media to rip your CD's and then rely on Jukebox to upload to the mp3 player. One note, I just bought mine last week (2.28.05) and it still came with an older firmware. Download the latest firmware from the philips-nike site and also upgrade the Jukebox app to the v9 version (using the Options tab in Jukebox). Finally, you need to download a separate plugin for the portable section of Jukebox. All in all, a bit cumbersome and I can see that regular users may get turned off by all the upgrading (hence the 8 rating versus the 9). However, once you have everything in place, the player works very well. Sound is great and it just look cool.Updated
One quick, but important addendum: the new firmware (2.9) allows you to play songs downloaded from the Internet. This was a big complaint leveled at the earlier firmware version 2.5.
Pros I loved the design, the concept, the various arm/waistband configurations, the screen, the 1/2 GB...
Cons but the software sucks, the whole MusicMatch thing was unbelieveable!(useless b/c it doesnt support downloaded music), it was not recognized, then it was recognized, then it wasnt recognized by my computer...so I returned it very disappointed
Pros On my run this morning, the round player rolled into the pond and the bottom of the trail. I fished it out and 13 hours later it works. Unbeliveable! Thank you very much. All the time i spent losing files, downloaded, reloading was worth it.
Cons Read all of the above posted remarks. i love the belt, I love the armband, I love the sound.make it easy to downlaod your music! I have spent countless hours over the last 7 years trying to load music and buring CD's it is really frustrating.

Pros Design, Light features
Cons Strap and Software
Summary Player is perfect for working out. Software works but could be better designed.
Nike needs to make this player that is more windows native.

Pros Design and the models on the package
Cons Software, headphones, navigation
Summary I normally do not write comments on the internet but was compelled to write about this specific product because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same frustration that I experienced with this product. I uploaded the software on three systems because I was experiencing difficulties downloading, deleting, and maintaining music (and I consider myself computer savvy - running my own dot com). After spending hours to upload a playlist and hours more charging the system, it's not worth going through it again everytime you want to update a song or a playlist. After a few months of using the player, it no longer recognizes the whether it's linked to a computer to start uploading or what. Help yourself and get a Sony or a Samsung MP3 player where the instructions and navigations as well as the battery download time and play time are superior for the amount you would pay. Nike obviously make a big mistake by teaming up with a second tier producer of electronics.
