"Very Very Good" on by Rocketeer
Pros: Supports MP3 and WMA and the FM broadcast
Cons: USB1.1 , 256MB memory body
Summary: Two XSL technology loudspeaker, powerful, moreover also can support
MP3 and the WMA form and listens to FM to broadcast, but also may continuously expend 10 hours musics
View: 1. If ShoqBox renews the strong body, hoped may increase the
AAC form 2. If can support SD, the MMC 2GB capacity memory card
expands the speech is better 3. The broadcast may remember more
broadcasting stations program (for example: 20~25 program) -
"Great sound, but alarm sucks" on by luweiy
Pros: sound, looking and battery
Cons: alarm, clock and other display
Summary: The sound from its speaker is great, at least works for me. But Weekday alarm option doesn't work at all. i have to use daily alarm as alternative. Hope they can fix it when next firmwire is available.

"Philps 'Sense and Simplicity' slogan not fully met" on by heihaa
Pros: compact, good product idea
Cons: mp3 file download not possible through a simple filetransfer but complicated Windows-only SW needed. Radio sensitivity poor, manual tuning bad, automatic tuning/search algorithm not very intelligent
Summary: Ok, you can read and download .mp3 files (also on Linux) since the PSS110 behaves like a USB-storage device.
But the machine will not play them...
It took years to make a broad range of Computer users 'literate', i.e make them understand what a 'file' is and how to copy and move it.
Why do I need to Install a complicated PC Software with a IMHO non-intuitive user interface, if a simple file-copy could do it?
It makes me suspicious that some buttons of this software refer to pay-music sites.
Do they want to trick me?
I am just interested in transferring a bunch of files to this machine. And this has to work on Linux too.
I am not interested wheter a nice SQL database exists within its memory or not.
However for me it is a must, that simple mp3 file collections can be played like
on any other MP3 hardware or software player.
Since this seems not to be possible -the documentation on this is
very poor- I will bring back the PSS110 to the store...
The sound quality is not bad but I think it still could be improved.
The tuning function of the FM radio is poorly implemented. If tuning manually
you need to press the tuning button for every 0.05MHz step... silly.
When doing an automatic station search, the stations found are not
those which are really clearly receivable.
Although the mechanical quality seems reasonable,
the plastic hinge on the rear cover is cheap and somehow annoying.
Because the PSS110 can not said to be really cheap, a higher quality
could be expected there.
Since I owe this gadget now for 24 hours this review may not be exhaustive... -
"Perfect Product" on by Jack Appel
Pros: very versatile
Cons: none since I am not fussy.
Summary: This a product to consider. In addition to playing your cd's with great sound for a small package, the greatest thing I am using it for is connecting it to my XMtoGO. I now have XM with me anywhere I go without the ear bud. The PSS110 is also a good travel companion with FM radio, music and an alarm clock to wake you up.
If you have the new Sony PSP it enhances the sound much better than the built in speaker.
