The good: Scheduled digital AM and FM recording; line-in recording; first portable MP3 player with an AM tuner; built-in speaker and mike.
The bad: Recording quality is more suitable for voice than music; only 32MB of onboard expandable memory.
The bottom line: This is a dream come true for talk-radio and sports fans, but listeners who don't appreciate those programs should pass.

Poor Product Quality & Poor Customer Service
Pros: Great Niche to combine recordable AM/FM/MP3
Cons: Poor Product Quality & Poor Customer Service
I read your CNET review of the Am/FM/MP3 players.
I purchased a PoGo Product RYW 2 years ago and wanted to let you know that the product was great when it worked. Problem was with that company the product was overpriced and not very reliable.
In the course of 18 months it broke or quit working (example volume button would stick down and not come up when toggling it) 5 times. It was a process to send it back in and get it fixed. I tried speaking with a customer service representative about "options?" There were none other than send it in and they would fix it if under the limited warranty.
Eventually, they came out with a updated unit. I asked to pay the difference to upgrade - this was not possible with their company.
I eventually gave up and refuse to use the company again. The unit sits in my desk drawer broken forever.
I have spread the word as best I can, but I do not have the readership you do, I thought you may want to know for your journal.

wait for competitors
Pros: small and able to record well
Cons: terrible AM reception, no sleep function, internal speaker is worthless ... should make unit larger with a bigger speaker ??

Not what I had hoped for!
Pros: Ability to record AM/FM broadcasts. Timer setting.
Cons: This is NOT a Tivo for radio as I had hoped. It is more of a VCR. With a Tivo/ReplayTV you can 'time-shift', meaning that you can come into a program partially through and play from the beginnning while the 'live' program continues to record, then you c

good online support
Pros: high quality fit and finish.
Cons: to resume where left off when listening to a recording must turn device completely off then back on to where left off...can not switch from recording to radio listening and back to recording to same place in recording.

Great concept, flawed implementation
Pros: Great for catching AM talk shows unattended. AM reception fairly good. Best to leave the unit in a good location during recording.
Cons: Very short battery life from AAA cells. No light for display. Very limited fast-forwarding capability. Pulling or inserting the AC power adapter plug during operation causes the unit to "reboot", haltin gany timed recordings in progress and losing its p

Great for talk Radio!
Pros: Great little product for recording your favorite talk radio broadcasts.
Cons: If you are looking for music recording... look elsewhere. Can playback MP3's but many better MP3 players are out there in the same price range. THIS IS FOR TALK RADIO FANS ONLY!

The only game in town for Time-shifting radio broadcasts
Pros: Better at time-shifting radio broadcasts than any alternative. I've tried Replay Radio for internet broadcasts, and I have a minidisc system that can record radio on a timer, but the Radio Yourway works far better than either. It's really the only game in
Cons: Programs are recorded in RYW format, not mp3 format. Not a very good mp3 player. You can't just hook it up with a USB cable and have Windows see it as a hard drive. Doesn't do a good job recording music, I still use my minidisc system to record music prog

Radio YourWay to the Rescue!
Pros: Ability to schedule radio programs in advance. Can use software to also download MP3 files from other sources. Use of memory cards means I can create various portable music libraries! I like this product so much that I bought the 128MB model after buying
Cons: Eats up batteries if not using rechargables. No MUTE button (which even my old MP3 player has). Manual not clear on all RYW features. Radio reception can be poor. Pogo needs to revamp RYW for better power and performance.

Great concept, but execution lacking
Pros: The only pocket device with built in AM/FM/Voice recorder. Great for recording talk shows. Pause during recording and fast on play back forward are great. Timing recording and the SD expension - very nice.
Cons: Weak AM reception and gain controls (Compared it side by side to my pocket radio). Recording quolity so, so. No stereo recording in FM mode. Would like to see tv tuner too.

great hardware, lousy software
Pros: ability to do timed recording of radio talk shows
Cons: having to convert between RVF files and MP3 via Wav files. Why not record to MP3?

I am very satisfied, great product
Pros: The sofeware allows you to transfer radio files to your PC for listening and storage. I put a 256mb SD card in and now have 40 hours of additional storage for radio/music. Has a built in equalizer for MP3 files. Awesome product.
Cons: The speaker is a backup to the earphones. The instruction manual is a little hard to follow. Looks like it was translated. Battery life is short 9-11hrs. The AC adapter is a must for recording. I use an AM loop antenna next to the radio for best receptio
