"Good little player" on by mikewrichards

Pros: Good battery life, excellent for price

    Cons: No colour screen

Summary: This player is worth every penny I paid for it (which wasn't much). I've had it for about 2 years now, and have never had a problem (except for the hard drive space... I have a lot of music). All around great player.

    "Ok product" on by Alfredo1204

Pros: I could listen to music

Cons: The buttons were wearing out quickly

Summary: This product was given to me for Christmas 2 years ago. It worked fine until a few days ago. It quit playing in the middle of a song. Now it won't turn on at all. The buttons were wearing out soon after I got it.

"An alright MP3 player for an alright price." on by HangmanXIII

Pros: Cheap. Relatively easy to navigate.

    Cons: Software problems. Unneeded crap.

Summary: This is my first MP3 player, and while it worked, I liked it. It held my music, it played my music, and it froze for no reason. That last one merits the "4", among other reasons.
Firstly, it came with a whole bunch of crap I couldn't get rid of: the two audiobooks, some songs I didn't want from artists I didn't care about. Now, if you could get them off, I don't know. I tried going into the files using my PC, but the things I wanted to get rid of didn't appear. Hell, some of the files I put on there myself didn't show up!

Every now and then it would freeze up randomly. RCA must've known about this, because they put in some kind of back up boot, where you hold it down for a longer amount of time to turn it off. Nice that they put this in, but it would've been nicer to fix it before putting the product out.
Now, I don't know if this has to do with the product, or just strange happenstance, but after about 5 or 6 months, one of my ears went out. I thought it was due to the earbuds I used, but I changed those and still had the same problem. No matter what I used, I couldn't remedy the problem. So after fighting with it for months to keep my earbud jack in the "sweet spot" where it played in both ear but in mono, I finally got tired off that and ended it by throwing onto hard driveway, thus ending my RCA's life.

"not a very good product!!!!!!!!!" on by Ksmth007

Pros: storage is good for the price

Cons: stops working and malfunctions for no known purpose

Summary: It would be a good product if it was quality built. I purchased this product and after having it for about six months(with minimum usage)I downloaded 2 audiobooks onto it. I haven't been able to listen to those books yet. The player quit working. It takes a long time to come on and when it finally comes on it displays a message saying FAT ERROR! I haven't been able to solve this problem yet. As far as I'm concerned, it is money down the drain I don't reccommend purchasing this product.
