Pros Absolutely none.
Cons Ripper software doesn't work. Owner's manual is a joke. There's nothing there except instructions on plugging it into your computer. I wish I had just thrown my money in the trash and not wasted the weekend trying to make this work.
Summary I just wanted a little mp3 for my runs and thought this would be great. Made the mistake of letting it sit on my counter for a couple of months before trying it out and now it's too late to return. BUY SOMETHING ELSE! I've set up my music library on to three Ipods and a Blackberry Storm with no problems so I'm not a computer dummy. I never got my music to transfer. The music that came preloaded sounded tinny and the earbuds that came with the set were like toys.
Pros Good sound, easy expansion slot access
Cons Batteries didn't seem to last that long so I used rechargeables
Summary Positive! I think I paid just around $50 for this player and it has lasted several years. It came with RCA earbuds in a case, a lanyard, a protective carrying case, driver software and I believe the usb cord for uploading. I have never had a problem with downloading music onto the player from windows media, yahoo or itunes. It was a very good value for the product that I received. It was able to accomodate the 2GB expansion card without any problems.
I am getting ready to regift this player to a relative since I have too many now, but I hate to see it go. I do love this player!
Pros Good sound quality, FM radio, decent LCD readout
Cons Buttons difficult to toggle, no auto resume, confusing progrmming features
Summary I can't really say this was a bad purchase. Sounds like others have had chronic issues with the sound volume and broken buttons. Fortunately, none of that happened to mine. But to toggle between radio and music and the playlist is frustrating as you have to jostle the button a lot to get it to work. The user guide is less than user friendly and I never did figure out how to program the radio. When you turn it off or jump to radio there is no auto resume on the player, it starts again at the beginning of the track. Another annoyance is the display light which always stays on, this kills the battery life. Otherwise it's been a solid player with no malfunctions and good sound. But based on the problems it could develop I would continue looking.

Pros built-in tuner, expandable
Cons Difficult to use, breaks, poor customer service
Summary Volume control broke after 3-months (used about 6 times). Returned unit under warranty and now fighting with customer service to get unit replaced. They sent me a letter stating "To provide service under the terms of your warranty for your product, payment in the amount of $107.70 must be submitted..." - pretty steep for a $59.99 player still under warranty.
