If it still misbehaves when you replug the mp3 player into the computer, download the latest Easy Rip software from RCA's website and update your player's firmware - take note of the section they have on Windows Vista if you have Windows Vista.

Pros: It was easy to use when it worked.

Cons: 2 weeks of use and the MP3 froze up. Customer service is not helpful. They will not refund your money

Summary: I used the MP3 for 2 weeks, than it froze up and was "intiallizing". When I called their customer support, they told me to mail to them ($12 shipping charge) so they could "reset" the sofware. 5 weeks later I got the player back, than 2 weeks later it froze up again. I call customer service and asked for a replacement. I mailed it back (another $12). They "reset" the same MP3. I called them and they said the MP3 was Ok and that they would not replace. Once again 2 weeks later it froze up again. I am not sending it back
I research the MP3 after the 2nd freeze up and found that alot of people have had the same problems.
So I repeat DO NOT BUY THIS MP3.
