"Excellent sound and size"

Pros: BATTERY LIFE, ease of use

Cons: The case it comes with, Finger prints
Summary: It is a very small package, so small some IPOD kiddie was making fun of it thinking it was a flash MP3 player and talking how his 4gb IPOD had so much more room for music. Well when i broke the news it was 5GB of memory in that tiny little package he looked astoinished. I love the fact that it has about 8 hours more battery life then the IPOD, even though they are updating the IPOD to have more battery life most IPODS people are carrying around have a 12 hour battery life. This is a sweet MP3 player that is nice in your pocket, great sound, their software is easy to use and requires no switching your music around like ITUNES. I bought mine refurbished(i think, you couldn't tell) for about 160 before a $20 rebate and it is an excellent buy. When it came to my house, the MP3 player looked brand new even the back which is shiny silver had no scratches. Finger prints suck on the back though, but it is easy to avoid this because the Rio has a neat rubber grip on the side. The bad part about the carrying case it comes with is the fact you can't see the screen, that is just a slight inconvience that would of been a nice feature but it doesn't bother me.
Scrolling for music is very simple and quick, The menu is basically idiot proof. The screen all though small is all the screen you need on an MP3 player. I can read all the info easily and the backlight fades out nicely.

I don't know what to say but this is a great MP3 player. I have played with almost every small Hard Drive MP3 player, and i have to say this one won my heart, i would't trade it for the world.

I also went out a bought some sony Headphones for 40 bucks, that was another great buy.

just to add, rio must have came up with a new case because mine is clear and i can see the screan.
