"Great Running Companion" on
Pros: Rich feature set, nice software, expandability, takes standard battery, great sound quality, FM tuner. I love it and have had none of the problems some others reported. Download the latest version of the firmware and flash the player to get the latest bu
Cons: The ear buds are only average quality and the cord is too short to function as a decent FM antenna. Substituting a better set (like the Sony MDR-G57G's) will really bring out the fine sound of the unit and the longer cord vastly improves FM reception. A

"Requires patience..." on by ken661
Pros: Stores Audible content and has an FM receiver.
Cons: Breaks a lot and small storage.
Summary: I took the first 3 players back to BestBuys because all of these machines died in the first 3 months of use. The 4th machine held-up pretty well. It's too bad that this is the best machine on the market if you want to store Audible content and have an FM receiver. Audible is lousy at making their content available on more mp3 players. The mp3 player industry in general won't make FM receivers standard on all players which really kinda sucks (this is why I won't buy and iPod).
Bottom line: if you want Audible content and an FM receiver this is the best player available... sad as that is.
