"Great MP3 player for the price, very light" on by dude404
Pros: Expandable, good sound if you got good headphones, cheap
Cons: 64mb of internal memory, reception of radio is not good
Summary: This is a MUST get for cheap MP3 players. It is EXPANDABLE up to 1GB, that's right 1GB! You get a radio, playlist, and a little LCD screen for options. You could also use it for sports activities.

"Great mp3 player for on the go and excercising." on by Joey Nice
Pros: Easy to use, good control layout, and very durable
Cons: need a proprietary usb cable to transfer music from computer to mp3 player
Summary: I have owned my rio s30s player for several years and it performs just as well now as when I purchased it. I have found my s302 player to be very dependable, however, I try to operate my personal tools and accessories ( like mp3 players) gently and with good habits of reducing wear and tear and preventable collissions between my rio s30s and other objects.
FYI: I am also a person that has owned a $100 dollar pair of bolle sunglasses for over 2 years, a pair of sunglasses that I have worn every single day (either at the computer to reduce monitor glare and light or out doors during summer, spring, fall and winter). However, I know alot of people shy away from expensive sunglasses because they do not take the care and proper steps to secure and maintain good functionality of their personal items and their personal items become lost, stolen and or damaged frequently and unnecessarily.
If you are a person that takes reasonably good care of your personal items and tries to instill personal character traits and habits that are conducive to reducing unnecessary wear and tear, collisions with foreign objects, and situations that leave your personal effects vulnerable to theft or loss... and if the rio s30s that you receive from digital networks is built as well as mine was - it will be a great mp3 player and a great excercise companion that will give you years of dependable use. -
"Great Quality player." on by WuhowZer413
Pros: Durable. Easy to use while excercising. Expandable Memory.
Cons: Volume buttons are small and hard to get to easily while excercising
Summary: This is a Great quality player. I have had my rio s30s for over 3 years and I use it all the time while excercising and while I am out of the house and away from the radio. I dropped my rio s30s on the concrete about 3 years ago when I first bought it when I was excercising and broke the case in two. I just super glued it back together and despite the collision from the impact with the concrete and the casing coming apart and the super glue applied between the seems of the two halves of the casing this player has still functioned normally the entire time.
----------------------------------------
Great Quality points
1.) I have had it for over three years and still works great.
2.) I Dropped my rio on the concrete about 3 years ago so hard that it broke the casing in two and I just super glued it back together and the player still works great.
2.) It is Great for excercising with its armband and plastic case.
3.) It's Small size makes it easy to carry around (alot of times I even forget it is strapped to my arm.)
4.) It has Great controls layout for changing song tracks while excercising. Great player. -
"Not bad for the size" on by Bemajedareki
Pros: No Bad for working out in the gym
Cons: Radio Tuner is no good
Summary: Use 256 or 512 MB of memory to get a good use out of this MP3 player and upgrade the firmware to get better performance (provided at the Rio website)

"Very good player, very bad armband clip engineering" on by bobnotrob
Pros: Solid player, software is intuitive, easy to use; durable use; uses only one AAA battery for about 10-15 hours use
Cons: armband clip will break if you run with it due to material cycling fatigue; needs a HOLD button to prevent accidental button pushing
Summary: Use the included armbelt and clip system till it breaks then go to tunebelt.com and buy their mp3 holster armband.
Great durability and ease of use. Best sports mp3 player I've found. Just got the nano so we'll have to see...
