Acceptable

Pros: Compact, can hold quite a bit of music when you have a 512MB card, features, and acceptable battery life

Cons: Stock headphones aren't any good, clip is built very cheap, and has behavior issues

Review: This thing works great when mowing the lawn or doing exercising. (When you lock the buttons.) It's not waterproof. Equipped with a 512MB SD card and the 128MB internal, I'm able to put on around 125 quality songs. I like the features it has to offer and even includes a radio, although not that great. The battery life is usually for me between 10 and 16 hours. (It varies.) I didn't even bother using the stock headphones and went straight for my KOSS headphones that have bass and noise canceling. (They're big, but sound great.) The clip on the cover on the MP3 player is only plastic and breaks easily and it did to me while just walking. Be very gentle with the clip. This MP3 player has also given me an array of strange behavioral issues. Sometimes, especially when my battery gets a little low, when I turn on the MP3 player, it will display the Rio logo but freeze up and the only way to get the MP3 player to shut off is taking out the battery. If I remove the SD card, the MP3 player will start up without a problem. (Like I said, this happens on a lowish battery.) Also, I just experienced this weird issue where every time I'd turn on my MP3 player, it would lose two or three songs and would continue to do this until I finally got down to 12 songs. I removed the SD card, and suddenly, I was up to 20 songs. Then, I plugged the SD card back in, and now I have the 126 songs I started with. My mom's Rio S30S has had to have the firmware update done to it twice when you would turn it on and it would keep restarting itself repeatedly.
