"Samsung YP-Q2 YEPP Diamond Sound" on by LucasGrey
Pros: The best Samsung audio quality with DnSe 3.0 SNR 90db e OFR 40Hz-20KHz offers a sound better than P3( YP-P3 SNR 89db e OFR 20Hz-20KHz)
The battery life is about 40hr(50Hr declared)Cons: Soft Touch controls are imprecise
Video format support limited only to WMV and MP4 SVISummary: YP-Q2 looks nice and offers many useful functions as a quality voice recorder and RDS radio, the video playbak is appreciable but unfortunately the player support only 2 video codec (WMV and MP4 h263). The battery life isn't 50hr as declared but reaches 40hr
YP-Q2 doesn't offer too many functions but has a stunning audio quality, YP-Q2 is a best buy in its price range. -
"Battery life on this review is very inaccurate.." on by Karlfischer
Pros: -Decent battery life (at least 20 hours for audio, if not much more)
-No extra formats needed (unlike Sony or Apple).
-Nice features such as voice record, user button, games, text viewer, and data casts.
-Audio and video quality good for the price.Cons: -Collects fingerprints very easily
-US users cannot access the store!
-Confusing how to use playlists.
-Text viewer could be a lot more convenient.
-Data casts do not sort by date added, but by name.Summary: I very happy with this media player, and am quite surprised at some of the things this review says. First of all, the battery life is actually quite good, and they probably got the 7 hr figure because they did not set the screen to turn off. The Q2 lasts atleast 20 hours if you go into settings and change it so the screen turns off in 15 seconds.
Also it does not really have a plastic feel to it, however it does collect fingerprints quite easily and so will have to be cleaned quite frequently.
I really liked all the features, however some of them could be tweaked to be alot better. For example, the text viewer is nice, but it does not zoom out enough so that reading is convenient. Instead you have to flip the page every 5 seconds. Also the data casts would be more convenient if they were categorized according to the date added. The User button is nice, and a quite way to add music to playlists, however so far I have found that creating and managing playlists is not as easy (or atleast not as intuitive) as on other media software.
It looks like you should be able to add on other apps to this media player, however since US users cannot access the store I have no clue if this is possible.
Audio on this player sounds very nice thanks to DNSe (digital natural sound engine) and you can even create your own setting. The video is also nice, but maybe not as sharp as on some other more expensive media players.
Bottom line though, it is a good buy, and I am glad I picked this one.
