"a solid flash-based mp3 player"
Pros: loaded with features, aluminum construction, great sound
Cons: limited storage capacity
Summary: I bought this several months before my 5th gen iPod (which i love) and believe it or not i still use it frequently because i can store files in it (which is better at this than the ipod since its small and comes with a direct-connect USB plug). and i can also use it to record voice notes and radio. now i dont know why CNET said :"goes to sleep too quickly" for the review, if they had played with it a little more, they would have figured out that if they set the sleep timer to "0 sec.", the thing wont go to sleep at all; then they said :"tiny Mode button" and that shouldnt be a problem for most unless youve got huge thich monster hands. and about it not having rechargeable batteries, most flash mp3 players not have them so that really shouldnt b a 'con' , it would a nice addition but if not, i live with, it lasts me up to 16 hours. it would be nice if it was expandable though, 256 MB is not big enough now adays.
and it does not need an adapter for the USB: if you want the cable, plug right in; and if you want the direct-connect one, plug it right in as well. no need for an adapter for either one.
this player is kind of all but is still very competitive with a lot of the ones that have recently com out, so i still recommend it.
