"The features offered by the YP-MT6X are phenomenal!"
Pros: 42 hour playback on one AA battery, FM radio, SRS WOW effects, easy to read display, easy controls, upgradable firmware
Cons: Voice recording quality isn't the best.
Summary: I recently purchased the YP-MT6X and I wanted to inform everyone of just how awesome I think this player is. After a lot of screwing around with Amazon.com and promises to get me my product, I cancelled with them and bought mine from Best Buy. I couldn't be happier! I almost haven't shut it off! Well, except to sleep and go to class.
The size is convenient, the casing is durable, and the controls are easy to use. This player has so many features! The SRS WOW effects are amazing! I've considered many MP3 players, but decided on this one because I couldn't find any comparable to this player's battery life and features. I would recommend the YP-MT6X to anyone with confidence knowing that they will enjoy it as much as I do.

I have read many user reviews on here and I want to address some of the issues I have seen that don't hold true. If people would only read their manual they would know all the features of this marvelous product.
First off, I have upgraded to Firmware Version 2.121 and had no problems doing so. I have read about a ton of people screwing up their players trying to upgrade. Just follow the instructions and there is no problem. Here are the instructions from Samsung in my words with steps added to make more sense. (Many have complained about the broken English that the original instructions are written in. Hopefully this saves some people from messing up their players.):
1. Backup all the files on your player.
2. Download the correct YP-MT6 Firmware update for your player. (http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc/support/b2c_support_product_results.jsp)
3. Extract and install the YP-MT6 updater on your computer.
4. Remove the battery from your player.
5. Holding the play button, connect the player to your PC. DO NOT LET GO OF THE PLAY BUTTON
6. Keep holding the play button! Execute the YP-MT6 Updater. Do not let go of the play button!
Note: If the Found New Hardware Wizard appears: (do this while holding the play button!)
a. choose "No, not at this time" and hit Next
b. choose "Install from a specific list or location" and hit Next
c. have "Search removable media" selected and hit Next
d. allow the driver to install
e. click Finish
KEEP HOLDING THE PLAY BUTTON!
7. Most likely on the YP-MT6 Updater software will find your player and a progress bar will go across the program.
At this point the screen of your YP-MT6X player should no longer be blank, if there is something on your MP3 player's screen; you can now release the play button.
8. If the Firmware upgrade can be done to your player the Upgrade Firmware Version number will be higher than your Current one.
9. In this case you will check the "Format Data Area" box and then click Start.
10. Allow the upgrade to finish and then click Close.
11. Safely remove your device. (As you should always do - for more information refer to your manual)
12. Insert your player's battery, turn it on and go to Settings> System > About
to check your Firmware Version number.
If you experience problems Samsung suggests using a rear USB port on your computer.

Now to the issues I wanted to address. (Please remember I'm using Firmware Version 2.121)
- Some have said this player cannot resume play after you shut it off. They claim it will restart the song from the beginning. The player does not have to work this way. All you have to do is go into the Settings > System >Resume > and select On.
- I have read that the FM radio has bad reception. I'm not sure if it depends on your area, but my player gets excellent reception!
- Some have claimed that you cannot delete files without being attached to a computer. This is also untrue. Settings > File > Delete > select your file and Confirm
- I have read that when encoding this player only lets you save in WMA format. This is not true. The player only allows you to save in MP3 with Bit Rate's from 32kbps to 128kbps.
Also, when voice recording the file is saved as a 32kbps Wave file(.wav)
- It has been reviewed that when encoding files, they are thrown in the mix with your other music. I have not seen this. My player creates a separate folder for Voice recordings and Encoded files.
- I have read that it can't play large files. I haven't seen any problems so far.
I'm sure there are more issues, but I've probably already covered more information than you ever wanted to know.

I can easily use this as a F drive, plug and play device.
I organize my music by creating new folders
When I put finish putting my songs in the mp3 player, and take out the usb cable, all the songs appear to organize themselves according to the size (MB) of the file.
How do I organize the songs according to my own liking?
