"Good while it lasted...Do Not Buy!"
Pros: Small, lightweight, inexpensive, FM radio, drag and drop files
Cons: Short circuits and does not work, listed battery life inaccurate
Summary: I bought 2 of these mp3 players and both of them short circuited. The first one I bought as a gift for my girlfriend back in February. It was inexpensive and had a lot of features. She used it no more than 15 times during the first month and a half for about 20 hours total. She liked it so much that I decided to get one myself. Pretty much the day I got mine, her unit started malfunctioning. Everytime she would try to raise or lower the volume, the unit would shut off without "goodbye" appearing on the screen, then start back up again. Called Samsung and they said it "sounds like a short circuit." I sent it in to them for repair on my dime since it was past the return period. The one I got for myself didn't even last a week. I got it on 3/28(today is 4/2) and have used it only 3 times. If I try to change tracks or listen to the radio, it turns off and reloads itself. If I try to turn it off, it turns off without "goodbye" appearing and turns back on again. The only way I can keep it from turning back on by itself is to take the battery out. Maybe it's just the batch these 2 players came from, but I strongly do not recommend this player. We'll see if the problems still exist when I get the first one back, but I'm not holding my breath. It looks nice and is inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.Updated
Well after my emotional outburst, I collected my thoughts and decided to see if upgrading the firmware will fix the problems before I return this unit. After the upgrade, the unit works fine, so I think it was just a firmware problem. We'll see what happens over the next few days. Another update will definitely be on the way.Updated
As it turns out, it wasn't a "short circuit" as customer service had thought, but a glitch in the software. I received the first player back and so far it works fine. I decided to update the software for the second player and presto! I haven't had a problem since. That being said, I would probably rank this product about an 8 now that it's working. I just wish they had a more competent technical support that would have told me to first update the software before sending it in.

i had my YP-MT6Z (1GB) eversince OCT 2005 and gues what i still have it and i don't think i'll go for another brand except samsung if ever i do change my player. For others who experiences less battery hours than usual better buy a long lasting battery and you'll surely experience 42 hrs or more. for others who experience player/pc mess up when it comes to updating well better read for the instructions very well. it's not that complicated anyway.
