"Good MP3 But Beware"
Pros: Great Sound, Compact Size, Sturdy Construction
Cons: Lack of Case that functional
Summary: I've used Mp3 players for sometime, mainly 128mb or smaller models. I got tired of constantly changing playlists and decided to get a 1gb model.
The Samsung gets good reviews so I gave it a try. The sound quality was great and the compact size added to portability. I wasn't a big fan of the tiny screen but could get use to it.
It's built solidly and the controls are easy to use.
What I couldn't get use to was the pathetic case that came with the unit. It's a clear plastic case that doesn't have a belt clip or arm band. The only means of carrying it was a lanyard.
I often use my mp3 when working out and mowing the lawn. I like the armband carriers but the lanyard just wouldn't cut it. It's small enough to be carried on the necklace but I just couldn't see it swinging about as I worked in the yard or in the gym.
Reluctantly, I returned it and opted for an iRiver. The Samsung is a nice device and I would have preferred it over the iRiver but, due to the only case available it is not for an active person.

I've had this player since april and I'm only on my second battery. I run three miles a day with it. I found a CaseLogic armband that is small, but it does not give me easy access to the controls while I'm running. This player would be perfect if only it had an armband or wristband that allowed access to the controls. Still, the sound and features far outweigh this small gripe.
