"Best flash based mp3 player out there"
Pros: WOW, SRS, TruBass, Bass Boost, + 5 equalizer preset + custom presets +42 hour battery life + small size + metal casing +phenomenal sound+FM tuner+mass storage device=iPOD shuffle killer
Cons: the earbuds that come with it doesn't exactly have the best sound quality but who uses stock earbuds anyway?
Summary: After learning about this mp3 player, I don't think ANYONE would even consider buying an iPOD shuffle. For $150, you can buy a 1gb ipod shuffle (by the way, the "shuffle" or "random" play mode has been available on portable media devices practically since CD players were invented), or you can buy the Samsung YP-MT6Z which has everything from WOW surround sound to the most basic LCD screen. The WOW surround sound and bass boosts make the sound quality excellent, especially when listening with my Sennheiser HD212s. However, the stock earbuds that come with this mp3 player has average sound quality so if you're an audiophile/bass lover like me, you should invest in at least a pair of Sony streetstyles if you don't already have better headphones. As an added plus, the YP-MT6Z uses an AA battery that lasts up to 42 hours! compare that with the 10 hours on apple iPODs. I accidentally left the thing on at work for 3 hours and the battery indicator is still full. Best of all, I use rechargeable NiMH AA batteries so I never have to worry about the battery dying. FM tuner exceeded my expectations because I thought the reception would be poor on such a small device, boy was I wrong. Sound quality on the radio was great (albeit not as good as a car radio). So if you're looking for a lightweight (size of a lighter), durable, mp3 player with full of features, great sound quality, and long battery life and don't need a million of gigabytes (1 gb can store 250 mp3 songs or 500 wma songs), get this little guy. The mp3 player itself deserves a 10.

You covered all the pros, it doesnt really have any cons in my opinion and I forget to put the sleep on when ever I go to bed. It plays all night and the battery doesnt go out for another 2 days. Great MP3 player.

You mentioned that you could store 500 songs in wma format. If you converted all your music into this format in order to fit more music than in mp3 format, how is the quality? is it compromised by compression? (and does the mp3 player come with software or something to help you convert mp3s into the space-saving format?)
thanks
just a tad technology-stupid,

I was considering buying this mp3 player...just a question...you mentioned that you could store 500 songs in wma format. If you converted all your music into this format in order to fit it all, and then listened to the songs in this format on the mp3 player, how is the quality? is the quality compromised by compression?
