"I'm In Love!"
Pros: big screen, easy navigation, separate volume button, solid design, great sound
Cons: yet to find any
Summary: I received this yesterday as a surprize present and loooooooooove it! I got the black one.
I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about when he said it should have video. In a unit this small, how practical and viewable would that be?? If you want video and not an Ipod, get the Zen Vision M, as someone else stated. That's the one I was eyeballing before I received this unexpectedly.
This supposed to be an answer to the Nano and I think it succeeds magnificently! I love the look and feel of it - unlike the Nano, which feels like it will snap in half just looking at it. Much bigger screen too - which won't get all scratched just looking at it. LOL!
I don't have a problem with the touch pad at all. I do have long thin fingers, but... I was afraid it would be too sensitive but it's not.
I like having the volume control on the side. Using my brother's Ipod, I found having it on the click wheel annoying.
Setup was a breeze. I think it sounds terrific and the color screen is great. I don't think anyone would be unhappy with this.
Now before anyone thinks I'm an Apple/Ipod hater, I'm not. As I said, this was a totally unexpected gift from my brother, who uses Macs for a living and who owns both an ipod video and a nano. HE did the research on it and decided this one was the best. I just agree!
They DO need a MUCH snappier name for it, that's for sure! YP-Z5 doesn't quite roll off the tongue...
