Summary: I find the K5 a great option for those tired or wary of Apple products. It provides a longer battery life (an amazing 30 hours) and speakers within the device allow for usage without headphones. The graphics give a sense of modernity, as well as giving a personal touch with all the options available. Overall, it is a great buy.

Summary: I have owned many mp3 players including the 30gb ipod video, samsumg t9, zune, creative zen vision m, toshiba gigabeat, and the archos av500 100gb and the sound that this one reproduces with my ultimate ears super fi 5eb is amazing.
I hate it when mp3 players have a bass boost feature that is basically useless because it muddies up the overall sound, well that isnt the case with this baby.
The bass boost gives a more defined, powerful low end and the mids and highs sound as clear as ever.. In my opinion, if you listen to hip hop or any other bass enhanced music, you owe it to yourself to give this player a shot...You wont be disappointed. In my opinion, samsung has the market cornered in mp3 players with 4gb or less...If only the rest of the world would catch on and give this player the support it needs...PS I am a grown man with grown man sized hands, so I dont want some teeny tiny mp3 player that I have to use my fingernails to hit the buttons nor do I want something so thin that I could risk losing it because I cant feel it in my pocket so the size of the player is in my opinion, perfect -

Pros: Great design and UI, speakers perform well for the size, interface is very easy to use, no software required for use (Windows XP is required)
Cons: headphones required for radio use, only a few equalizer (sound effects) settings, very limited options, menus get old after the first few hours, no album art, no case provided
Summary: I saw the Samsung YP-K5 in a retail store along with many others. This one immediately came to my attention with its flashy menu and brightly lit blue touch sensitive buttons. After bringing it home I would use the speakers constantly and still do. You should note however, that when using the FM Radio headphones are required to receive a signal. Also, the volume is reset to a mid level when opening the speakers usually requiring you to adjust it. After a while i felt the need to customize. This came to be a problem since there is not much to change. You can't change the colors, increase the scroll rate, view time remaining, change the theme, set radio to alarm, and much more you would expect for something at this price. Overall it is a great MP3 player with intuitive ideas, it just needs some fine tuning and a bit more time invested in its development.

Summary: I love every thing about this player. It functions fine (a little touchy but no worries). Not as bulky as people think, fits in my pocket without being too noticable. The sound is incredible with or w/o headphones, I find myself playing it inside, outside, exerising, 95 percent of the time thru the speakers which brings me to it's only negative...WHY CAN'T YOU PLAY SONGS WHILE CHARGING??? You may want to get a wall charger because charging it from the computer takes forever. I might have to buy another player so I can play one while the other charges. But aside from the charging issue the player is exceptional.

Summary: i LOVE this unit in general, it may be a slight annoyance due to the fact the face smudges, however it wipes off easily. sound quality is wonderful. fold out speaker will wow you for some time (low distortion rate!). great features to enhance sound quality are absolutely fantastic and easy to manipulate, even if its your first mp3 player. you will love this purchase without a doubt. go buy this one!
