"A great player for any need." on by WFP1
Pros: direct usb design, bright display, rechargable battery, nice price tag
Cons: display could have been larger, accessories would be nice
Summary: i absolutely love this player. i have owned several different brands and this is the best by far. it is very easy to use. just plug it into the usb port and sync it with windows media player 10 or you can drag and drop. i love that is has a rechargeable battery so you dont have to keep buying batteries. i also love that it plugs directly into the usb port like the creative muvo's did. the display is bright and easy to read but it could have been wider to hold more info so there would be less scrolling. the battery life is not bad at around 15 hours. the sound is good too. it comes with equalizer settings and DNSe 3d sound settings. the sound is clear and crisp plus the included ear buds are rather nice. i would also like to see some accessories come out for it like a protective skin so there is no chance of losing the usb plug cover. overall this is a great choice for anyone looking for an mp3 player that doesnt cost an arm and a leg but still want great features (fm radio and voice recorder). simply put, this player has it all. about the only thing you cant do on it is view pictures.

"Service/warranty comments" on by stridergak
Pros: Inexpensive. Pretty easy to navigate. radio works well.
Cons: Service/warranty situation pretty bleak. no approved AC charger avail., no armband or other way of carrying it avail. as an accessory
Summary: My 1Gb Samsung YP-U2 was fun while it lasted. The unit failed unexpectedly about 2 weeks after I got it. It would no longer be successfully recognized by any computer.
The Samsung web site was not helpful and after resorting to a customer service phone number, I had to wade through perhaps 10 menus to get CR for this mp3 player. I've had to do that again 4 times so far.
Customer service was friendly and knowledgeable and provided directions for having the unit repaired under warranty by a third party.
I shipped as instructed (on my nickel) and the unit was returned 6 days later with a big yellow sticker saying it wasn't accepted because it had no Return Authorization number on the package. The big yellow sticker was stuck on less than 1/2" below the (correct) RA number.
I called Cust. Service again, they shipped a pre-printed label. I mailed the unit again 11 days ago. When I called to check up, was told they have received it, but it may be another 2 weeks before I receive the player back again.
I am not happy because I specifically ordered this for a big trip I was going on. It was not available for that trip and is still not available.
I would not recommend this product. -
"Dismal Quality" on by btmustang
Pros: Nice looking, sounds good
Cons: Not reliable.
Summary: I purchased this MP3 player about a month ago and after trying to sync it to WMP 10 on another computer in the home it began to turn off on it's own, it would no longer connect through the USB port on any of my computers.
When inserting it into a USB port the computer would recognize it (With that USB sound) and then disconnect a second later before WMP, or even Windows XP Pro would detect it as an MP3 player.
After a week of this behavior, it stopped working all together although it was fully charged. I could not turn it on any more.
So I broke down for the quality of an IPod Nano.
