"Good bang for the buck"
Pros: very light, long battery life, expandable memory, good headphones
Cons: lcd screen a bit small, navigation is a bit messy (but both can be condoned by the patient)
Summary: i bought this thing yesterday (black friday) for about 69 bucks and it i find it very good so far.
it has excellent battery life, a good 1 gig memory (you can buy an SD card with memory upto 2 gig so it essentially becomes a 3 gig player), it is very light (even with the battery), in fact so light that you wouldn't notice if it falls out of your pocket. the headphones that came with it can actually be shoved into the ears. they're good(not all that great compared to like... BOSS's $140 headphones of course) but i am quite satisfied.
i had to mess with the equalizer for about 15 mins and cnd cancel those SRS WOW effects (it sounded crappy with the equalizer combination). but once i customized it, it sounded cool.
the navigation is a bit messy in the sense the buttons are in california while the scroll wheel is in pennsylvania. (see the picture). you'll need a little practice to get used to it. also, like the other guy said, you cant reduce the volume unless you come out of your menu screens so you might find that a little irritating.
all in all, i would recommend this product if you're running a little low on the greens.
