"Fantastic!!" on by redheadjlyn
Pros: My 2 year old could use it! The 'shaker' part doesn't really matter, just the fact it plays music on an integrated speaker is enough! It is now 3 years later and we're still going strong!
Cons: I had to 'reset' it once, no biggie. It had stopped working, so I wrote to Sansa and they sent me back the reset instructions that worked perfectly! This thing just can't be taken down! :)
Summary: Got this 3 years ago and it's still being played with - hard! The controls are simple to use and anyone with any basic computer knowledge can get the music on and off with no problem. Bottom line? I just bought 15 of these for Christmas to give away! :)

"Love this mp3 player!" on by niambra
Pros: Great for kids. Survives the bottom of a toy box. Lack of a display screen adds for extra durability.
Cons: none that I can think of
Summary: My daughter has had this for several years now. It has lasted longer than any other mp3 player she has had. It can take lots of abuse and still work, even after being in the bottom of a toy box. Music is easily downloaded from the computer to a SD card.

"Get what you pay for." on by bballbm
Pros: It does what it says it will do. For the price and with kids in mind it is a nice little product. The speaker actually works pretty good. The controls are easy to use. Safe for kids
Cons: Be warned that it only works with SD cards and NOT SDHC cards.
Summary: Can't go wrong if your buying this for a young child. I bought it for my 9 month old because I was afraid to let him keep on playing with my iphone. Unlike my $400 Ipod video, this one has a replacable battery. No need to pay to send it back to get a battery. In addition, buy as many cards as you want for as many songs as you want! During a difficult period where he was having trouble sleeping I would leave my iphone music on in his room. How nice if I would have had this instead?

"Nice idea...in theory" on by ktronis
Pros: Small size and design appeals to kids. Multiple headphone jacks. Uses AAA batteries.
Cons: Very buggy. Periodically quits working, which forces you to reformat the player and reload all of your music. Bottom cover comes loose easily.
Summary: In theory this is a nice design, very appealing to kids, especially under the age of 12. However, this player is so buggy, it will simply frustrate you more often than not. I would recommend you buy something else.

"This doesn't work!" on by freakmama1231
Pros: external speakers, dual headphone jack
Cons: non-rechargeable batteries, port cover falls off
Summary: I bought 2 for my older girls (ages 7 and6). The cover for the port and batteries fell off if you looked at it wrong. One of the players stopped working after half a day. I took them back and bought them Zen Stones (not the plus version) and the girls love them. I was really disappointed because I love the idea of the external speakers and dual headphone jacks (I have 2 more girls who are too young for music players). I have a 2G Sansa Clip for exercise and it's perfect.
