Pros: LOTS, LOTS, LOTS of good tunes CHEAP. Ease of use.

Cons: NO flexibilility: No rewind, replay, random selection.

Summary: Disclaimer: have a SANSA FUZE with slot radio capability (same difference I just have additional functionality). SLOT RADIO does 1 thing REALLY WELL. It INSTANTLY puts 1,000 hit songs (on an SD card) in your MP3 player CHEAP, and it plays them in order from 1 - 1000. That is ALL it does. NO rewind, no replay, no shuffle, no pick n choose..

IF you accept it for what it is (a niche product) you'll love it. IF you want to pick your songs, play them in some custom order, want ultra HIFI, or you're picky about that kind of thing look elsewhere (and be ready to pay a LOT more for your music).

I bought the VH-1 Classics micro-sd card from BestBuy, and I LOVE 98% of the tracks on here. It's been 2 weeks of almost continious play, and I haven't started over yet. There's ALL kinds of music on here (all Billboard top 100) POP type stuff, but a good variety from high energy, to melodic, to funky, to rock. Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Commodores, Foo Fighters, Police, Garbage, No Doubt, to name a few. If that's not your speed, then check out the other sd cards: Classical, Metal, Country, Decades (60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's)... etc. at <$40.00 a disk for 1000 songs, you can't go wrong! And don't over look the fact that you're not messing with device storage capacity. This is all Micro SD based, so you swap out a card, and in with 1000 more songs instantly. JUST REMEMBER - you don't get to pick the order so when you swap cards, the playlist resets....

If you don't like a song on the disc, hit SKIP and you won't hear it again for a long long time.

I used to like Pandora Radio, and streaming radio, but there's connectivity issues, delays, and limits. With SLOT RADIO you get a good variety, and good (NOT great) quality music. Again, IF you want HIFI - go buy a good system!

    Rock on. J
