  • "Battery Issue Needs To Be Addressed"
    on by msmusicmaker

    Pros Attractive, GREAT sound quality

Cons Battery issues!!!!, synching was not all that easy

Summary I went through 3 of these. The 1st one would not charge. It said it was charging but then would not charge. I had it on the charger for about 3 hrs and the battery life actually went down! I knew that was probably just a bad apple so I returned it and bought another one. This one had the SAME ISSUE. Then I exchanged it for another one. This one charged fully but then when the battery was going down, I tried to charge it and it said fully charged in like 5 seconds! I took it off of the charger and it then said low battery and to charge it. This cycle went on many times until it was able to charge somehow. I took it back and ended up getting a Sansa Fuze which does not have those weird battery issues.

Synching to this mp3 was not all that great. I had but about 200 songs on it and then disconnected it and they were not there. I used Windows Media Player to do it so I am not sure what happened. I ended up just dragging and dropping the music in the Music folder on the mp3. Then for some reason, it put numbers in front of the track names. Ugh anyway, dont waste your time and get frustrated like I did. Get a Sansa or maybe go with an iPod or Zune.

  • "great player!!"
    on by angelliclyfallen

Pros smooth controls, clear display, clear music, smooth look.

Cons no minisd slot, video plays really small

Summary The walkman mp3 player is a great buy. The music played back is clear and can go very loud, the battery holds a charge for a while, and its really easy to transfer music to it.

  • "Great beginner mp3 player"
    on by slw723

Pros I love the simplicity of this device. I bought it for my non-techie husband for Christmas to replace the old radio headphone gear. I've had no problems loading music, and love the fact it's compatible with ITunes.

Cons Haven't found anything I'm not happy about.

Summary This is a great device for the money. Based on my daughter's experience with IPod, I decided this was a better choice for my husband because it's simple to use.

  • "Very Disappointing"
    on by CalgaryConsumer

Pros Light weight, small, competitive price.

Cons Not compatable with Windows 7. Tedious firmware download required. Short battery life.

Summary Caution, the sony License agreement which must be accepted in order to use this player, states, in part, that: "The SOFTWARE contains features which may allow SONY and/or third parties to collect data from, control and/or monitor computers and devices running or interacting with the SOFTWARE. You hereby agree that such activities may occur."

Essentially, SONY is asking you to agree that they, or other unnamed third parties, have the right to collect unspecified data from your computer, and control your computer if they wish to do so.

For this reason alone, I beleive that prospective MP3 buyers should look for non-Sony products.

  • "for music listeners that don't want to drop 299 bux"
    on by fern1981

Pros has awesome volume! i've had like ten mp3 players so far and the drawbacks have always been that yuo can hear everything besides the sound of your music, especially you're outside or somewhere for example like in a construction zone. i dont want to blow m

Cons can't really think of anything right now except that it's an mp3 player and a lot of people seem to think they have limitations...i was reading that someone else was having a problem getting podcasts. ummm...i just basically got it to listen to music so..

Summary Good price, easy to figure out and categorizes your music neatly. Not ornate with buttons and a bunch of confusing features, but has enough stuff to satisfy even your toughest mp3 critics
