Sony NW-E103 Network Walkman (256MB)

Summary: When I bought mine, it wont play MP3s. Why?
Just .amo or something like it kinds of audio files.

Summary: this small player (256mb) is the proof that
sony can deliver a quality player for little money.

supplied software (sonicstage) is stable
and comprehensive, imports can be folders/cd's with link to database for auto/trackname. playlists can be made
(and selected on the player by setting it in group mode). the imports are transferred
in sony's native atrac3 format, a full 256mb transfer takes up 8 mins.
the bitrate of the atrac format is selecteable.

the soundquality is very good from 132 kps
onwards and the supplied earphone is better
than avarage, with solid bass and good
stereoimageing.

if the player now has a long life it diseves a 10, nice one sony!
