"Don't be fooled, no native mp3 support"
2.5 starson by someguy12345Pros: stylish, easy to use
Cons: crippled by copy protection
Summary: Although you can transfer mp3s onto the unit, the software (whether SoundStage, or the alternative drag-and-drop software sony offers) converts it to non-MP3 format, expressly for the purpose of preventing piracy... BUT you can use it as a flash drive and copy the MP3 files over in windows explorer and distribute them that way (but not play them on the unit), rendering the protection ineffective and unneccesary. Why, Sony? Also, the speed of the fastforward does not increase with the amount of time the button is depressed, so the player only fast forwards at 3x normal playing speed. Could be quite irritating if you have hour long mixed mp3s or spoken word mp3s. Could've been great, but instead is a gift that will be returned (by me at least).
