Cons: You MUST use Sony's SonicStage software....
Summary: We've had iPods, Zen's, Rio's and now this round thing. 70 hours(!)of playback w/one AAA battery you can by on any street corner. Holds 600+ songs, sounds great, easy controls, decent display, small and comfortable to hold/control. For around $120 it's a GREAT value and far above many other devices IMHO. Sony makes quality products and this is no exception.
Downside IS the Sony software. It's the only software you can use, takes a LONG time to install and is a bit clumsy in design. I convert my CD's to ATRAC (Sony's native format) which sounds better than MP3 or Apple conversion (am a pro audio person). MP3 playback is good as well. If you can live with using Sony's software the unit is a great buy for the $$$. No bells/whistles - just a great music player. It's small and VERY reliable. Buying them for my kids as well.
