Quick Take: The Sony NW-E500 series features most of the same characteristics as the Sony NW-E400 series, with a couple of notable differences. The first is that the NW-E500 players include a built-in FM tuner. Also, you get slightly different color options; the 512MB versions are available in metallic light blue or metallic pink, while the 1GB version is available in silver. The players in this series are also a bit more expensive than those in the NW-E400 series.

    Summary: The Sony Network Walkman NW-E505 offers good sound quality in a very attractive package. The battery life can't be beat, but the required SonicStage software and lack of WMA support hold it back a bit.
