"New Sony MP3 is "bean-iful"!" on by Puppy_lover1011

Pros: Built in USB, FM Tuner, Supports WMA, Small size, Cute colours, OLED Screen

Cons: USB Cover is "flimsey", No Recording

Summary: I have fallen in love with the walkman Bean! It's so cute and the colours are great! I have a PC, so I am so happy that it supports WMA files. I am a little dissapointed that it doesn't have Voice Recording, but all-in-all, it's great!

"Finally a sony flash base player with FM tuner." on by farrid

Pros: FM tuner/Internal rechargable battery(50hrs)/ATRAC3plus or MP3/No need for wires with built in USB plug/

Cons: No talk of FM record or voice record./could have better EQ presets/Little bigger than my NW-E99 but ok / I only hope there is an option for AC plug to recharge as well.

Summary: To the dude that gave the 3*** rating "get off what your on!" Sony's ATRAC3plus format sounds great and shrinks the size down to at least half the size of an MP3. You need an LCD or OLED to see what folder of music you are choosing. I guess you don't have this problem with the Shuffle because of the few songe you can put on it. Oh! Did I almost forget you need the FM Tuner for the radio? Daaaaahhh! Don't know what your talking about female male get yourself figured out first. The only reason I would buy a shuffle is because I was a blinde consumer. I am trading in my NW-E99 on a defect and getting this one.

If there is one thing a portable music player should be able to do is to make playlists while on the go. I have to spend enough time at my computer and to think I would have to sit there and organize playlists for say a workout or jog? I don't think so. I put all the artists together in there own folders and would like to take the wildest songs of each to make a playlist for my workout. Come on Sony your slouching. This is my only complaint about any portable player.
Because of the battery life and number of songs sony can crunch into that little thing when compared to the rest of the flashed based mp3 market, I am staying with my rating.

"well well well nice try" on by ZeeZazu

    Pros: it's small

Cons: not as good as Shuffle

Summary: Sony, good job on beating the next shuffle release but next time make the product universal i.e. male/female (hint hint PSP). What's with the price too? $$$ ?

Cnet, can you reduce the rateing to 3? Oh yea, Screen means nothing. For the love of Music, this product is meant to play music. people don't care about seeing their favorate music they loaded into it because they just want to hear that music.

If Ford can come up with Focus, Sony is capable of alot more. Remember, Sony came up with the "Walkman" first not Apple. Sony has tons of products which are "music players" out there that people are just not buying. Instead Sony should perfect what they have for Sony has the resources and the money to do so. Now, stop the childish talk and judge the right way. For me as a windows user i was glad to see the suffle and grab a mac while i was at it. Why??? they simply worked the first day they demoed it to me at the Apple store and at home and every where else. While i write this i am using a shuffle that i have and dropped several times and also mutilated. You know i still use it to hear music and not radio, not movie, better yet i don't really care seeing the name of the song I am "listening." If sony is really smart, they would take this to heart and improve on it. Anyways, wait for the Paris Expo and you will see what i am talking about.
