    "Not a very good player"

    by tampon101 on January 2, 2006

    Pros: Small,Light,Sound quality ok

Cons: Sonic stage a pain,Converts to atrac format .

Summary: The sound quality is very good .Better than most players but sonic stage or connect is a pain.It doesn't let you transfer a majority of mp3s.
Even with mp3 file manager which lets u drag and drop.It converts your mp3 to Oma format which is OpenMG format.
In the side of the bean player you can slide the cover to release the usb plug and if you were to slide to the opposite it its the hold function. If the cover is slide towards the middle You can then go thru the menu, change songs etc and fiddle with the settings.I find that the cover is quite lose. Its very easy to slide towards the hold position.

Transfer speed of songs is quite slow.

Tried using Real player to transfer the songs to the player but real player can't detect the device.

The sound quality is ok.The bass is quite strong with good lows and ok medium.High frequency music isn't very good at all.I see that a majority of high end frequency is cut off from this player.

Battery life is strong.Lasted me a week without the need of charging.Very handy to use as at the end of the day i can just plug it in to the computer to charge.

After 2 days of use.I can't stand the player .putting music was a pain.I went and bought a creative micro photo instead.

While every company such as creative an iriver is improving their devices and software.Sony seems to stay with their old way and still uses sonic stage to transfer music. If sonic stage let me import any mp3s at all i would probably consider keeping this player.

To be honest everyone.I have 25 albums of music.Sonic stage will not let me import 25 albums to the player.
